Out of personal interest, I took a 4-day shoemaking workshop with Connie Puetz in Stratford, ON. Shoes are something we all wear everyday, but often take for granted the intense process required to size and make. My motivation was to expand my own knowledge and skill sets. The class involved leatherworking, cutting, sewing, lasting, shaping, wet forming, and working with the sole.
