This is a wearable headpiece that incorporates wireless LEDs, worn and handled by multiple actors. We used measurements from both actors. We were lucky that they were similarly sized.

The main housing was first designed and 3D modelled digitally. It was designed with multiple considerations. There were LEDs required all around the front and back of the piece. We incorporated wire management, battery locations, and strain relief earlier in the process. The sections were also parted out to help ease the paint and finish process of different colours. 

The main housing was 3D printed using SLS. Each LED was held in place with a machined aluminum detail. They were designed to perfectly fit into the recesses of the 3D printed assembly. 

All the parts were painted prior to assembly. The electronics were then installed, the wires routed along internal channels. The inner side of the piece was patterned and lined with leather for comfort, with access points for electronics.
